We want to do the right thing by the planet and animal welfare, and every day we're looking for new ways to improve our progress and suppliers. It's a work in process, and any business that tells you they're holier than thou might just be fibbing.... Below is a list of what we think we're doing well, and also what we can improve on. 100% transparency! That's the way burgers should be.
What We Are Doing Well:
Carbon Neutral 100% Australian Beef
- Pure premium beef mince, pressed and seasoned on the grill
Free Range Chicken
- All our chicken is free range
Locally grown produce
- All our fresh produce is grown locally right here in Australia
Free Range Eggs
- No cages, no battery hens since 2011
Free Range Mayonnaise
- You won't find a caged egg in our sauces
Packaging
- All our takeaway packing uses recycled material and is recyclable and or compostable
Oil
- Every drop recycled, nothing down the drain
Cardboard, Cans and Bottle Recycling Program In Place
Renewable Energy
- Solar power in use in our head office and 9 of our stores
What We Need To Do Better:
Bacon
- Currently Australia does not produce enough pork to meet Australia's need. We are currently sourcing 100% well reared Australian bacon
Dry Store Produce
- Continue to work with our suppliers to source only 100% Australian produce
Supply Chain
- Further localise our supply chain
Further Work To Do On Recycling Program
- Reduce and eliminate soft plastics and recycle all food scraps
Further Roll Out Of Renewable Energy
- Roll out to remaining stores
Reduce Packaging
- Working with our suppliers in order to reduce packaging on products we receive
