Burger Urge is thrilled to announce the successful opening of its 31st venue—and the second for powerhouse Franchise Partner, Greg Dean—in Thurgoona, New South Wales.
The new restaurant officially opened its doors last Wednesday, and the response from the local community has been nothing short of phenomenal. With lines of eager customers stretching out the door and down the path, the venue has already smashed all first-week turnover expectations—cementing its place as a standout addition to the Thurgoona dining scene.
In true Burger Urge style, the new venue brings with it a uniquely Aussie twist. Paying homage to the iconic Australian film The Castle, the restaurant’s bar area and artwork are styled after the movie’s legendary “pool room.” With Thurgoona located just two hours from Bonnie Doon, the tribute was too perfect to pass up.
“We feel really lucky to have Burger Urge open here now,” said one happy local. “It’s just a wonderful addition to our little town. The whole family loves it, and the food is exceptional.”
Franchise Partner Greg Dean is no stranger to success. His first Burger Urge venue in Albury Wodonga has become a local favourite, and Greg says the decision to open a second venue was always part of the plan.
“Opening our Albury venue was probably the best thing we’ve ever done,” Greg said. “Opening a second in Thurgoona was always the dream.”
Known for his deep community involvement, Greg believes that local connection is what truly sets his Burger Urge venues apart.
“We are very involved in the local community—we live it, we breathe it, and we are out amongst it,” he said. “And the community supports us in return, which is amazing.”
